Jouw rol

As an Investment Manager Treasury, you are at the forefront of managing liquidity, cash, and collateral for our client portfolio, positioning you at the financial core of PGGM. Your role involves ensuring that sufficient liquidity is available to meet short-term obligations and enhancing liquidity management practices. You will leverage advanced programming tools and automation to innovate and streamline treasury operations. Your responsibilities will include portfolio management through the use of money market instruments such as deposits, repos, reverse repos, short-term bonds, and securities lending, with a focus on optimizing collateral utilization. Analysing data for insightful decision-making is key, as is your contribution to developing our treasury platform. Collaboration with various departments is essential, given the team's central organizational role.

 

A selection of your tasks:

  • Portfolio management: Collaborate with treasury colleagues to manage liquid assets, invest in money market instruments, manage the repo portfolio and optimize collateral positions.
  • Strengthen relationships with banks and counterparties.
  • Follow developments in financial markets and integrate this into decision making.
  • Develop and utilize cutting-edge programming tools to enhance data-driven decision-making.
  • Drive continuous improvement and innovation in internal and external processes.
  • Participate in daily operational tasks, to ensure seamless operations.
  • Being active on trading platforms 

Jouw afdeling binnen PGGM

PGGM manages the pensions of workers and retirees in the Healthcare and Welfare sector. The Asset Management unit is responsible for investing the pension assets. Within this unit, the Treasury & Liquidity Management department is pivotal, overseeing liquidity, cash and collateral management. Our team of six dedicated Treasury professionals is committed to leading the way in market innovations. As we anticipate the departure of a valued team member this year, we seek a dynamic replacement.

Jouw achtergrond

We seek a candidate with knowledge of money markets and treasury activities. You thrive in dynamic environments, are flexible, and can take decisive actions under pressure. Strong communication skills and the confidence to express your opinions are vital. You are independent, proactive, and take initiative, delivering results with attention to detail and quality. Integrity, openness, and a willingness to provide and receive feedback are crucial.

 

You also bring:

  • 1-5 years of experience in Treasury or a related field
  • HBO/WO educational background with a professional mindset.
  • Preferably a quantitative education with strong analytical skills.
  • Excellent social and communication skills.
  • An independent, hands-on work attitude with a collaborative spirit.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or MATLAB for quantitative analysis and  automation and expertise in Power BI for data visualization and reporting is an advantage/plus.
  • A keen interest in technology and data management developments.
