Jouw rol

Investment management at PGGM involves big numbers, complex financial products, and many different departments, external organizations, and IT systems that need to work well together. As an ambitious Junior Operational Risk Manager, you are eager to tackle this. In addition to the operation (run), you will also deal with major change projects (change). For example, the way PGGM will invest will change significantly in the coming years. You help the business to do this in a controlled manner. You support the business in process design, identifying risks, and thinking about how to optimally control these. You also look for opportunities to make this control as efficient as possible with the help of IT and data analytics.

Additionally, with your critical attitude, you look at how these controls function in practice and coordinate your findings with the business.

You also do this:

  • Manage and maintain the Administrative Organization and Internal Control (AO/IC) and keep it up to date and consistent. Part of this is maintaining and documenting the process flows in the BizzDesign tool.
  • Support in guiding and documenting risk assessments with the business.
  • Keep the business sharp by critically looking at how controls are performed and reporting your findings.
  • Participate in small and medium-sized projects and ensure that AO/IC is integrally included in the changes.
  • Support in providing information to the accountant, help answer questions, and actively engage with the business.
  • Register findings in Cerrix and monitor their timely follow-up.
  • Support in analyzing and following up on incidents.
  • Support in setting up reports on the status of AO/IC.

Jouw afdeling binnen PGGM

Given the complexity of our services to more than 4.4 million participants, something can always potentially go wrong. The Investment Products & Process Control (IPPC) team – part of the Finance & Risk IM department and led by the CFRO IM – is ready to minimize risks from an operational perspective as much as possible.

Jouw achtergrond

This role requires an ambitious and curious go-getter. Someone who enjoys getting to know investment management processes as a whole and wants to make a significant contribution to improving being in control. Knowledge of AO/IC and Standard 3402/3000A assurance is a plus, as are analytical skills and a precise way of working. Since IT and data are crucial for efficient control, your affinity with IT and data analysis is of significant added value.

You also bring:

  • An academic working and thinking level: a completed (academic) study in, for example, economics or finance.
  • 0 – 3 years of experience, preferably in a risk management-related role at financial institutions, preferably asset management.
  • Affinity with IT and data analytics.
  • Knowledge of setting up an ethical and controlled business operation.
  • Enthusiasm, curiosity, and passion for asset management, risk management, and financial markets.
  • A strong desire to learn and a proactive, pragmatic way of working.
  • A sense of responsibility, stress resistance, and accuracy.
  • Good command of the Dutch and English languages, both spoken and written.
