Dennis Van Alphen

Dennis van Alphen nominated Head of Infrastructure PGGM

Dennis van Alphen (54) has been nominated Head of Infrastructure Investments at PGGM.

He succeeds Irina Frolova who has been leading the Infra team on an interim basis since early this year.

Starting August 1st, Van Alphen will be responsible for a 45 fte dedicated Infra team and will become part of PGGM’s Investment Management Team. The current size of the open end PGGM Infra fund is EUR 13.6 bln with the ambition to grow substantially in time.

Dennis van Alphen has been active in the international investment community for nearly 30 years. Before joining PGGM Investment Management, he has among others been involved in debt advisory and investment banking in the Benelux and London for a Dutch investment bank.

He joined PGGM Infrastructure in 2011 from London and has since then been responsible for the cross-sectoral origination & investments strategy. Per 2021, he has also been leading and growing the Digital Infrastructure sector team activities. In this capacity, he is a member of the MT Infra, Investment Committee and sits on the boards of several portfolio companies in the Energy & Utilities and Digital Infrastructure sector in Europe and the US.

Dennis holds a Master degree in Finance from the University of Amsterdam.
